چکیده
Model calculations of doubly closed shell nuclei in CBF theory III. j-j coupling and isospin dependence. Abstract Correlated Basis Function theory and Fermi Hypernetted Chain technique are extended to study medium–heavy, doubly closed shell nuclei in j-j coupling scheme, with different single particle wave functions for protons and neutrons and isospin dependent two–body correlations. Central semirealistic interactions are used. Ground state energies, one–body densities, distribution functions and momentum distributions are calculated for 12 C, 16 O, 40 Ca, 48 Ca and 208 Pb nuclei. The values of the ground state energies provided by isospin dependent correlations are lower than those obtained with isospin independent correlations. In finite nuclear systems, the 1 two–body Euler equations provide correlation functions variationally more effective than those obtained with the same technique in infinite nuclear matter.

متن کاملNew results in the CBF theory for medium-heavy nuclei
Momentum distributions, spectroscopic factors and quasi-hole wave functions of mediumheavy doubly closed shell nuclei have been calculated in the framework of the Correlated Basis Function theory, by using the Fermi hypernetted chain resummation techniques. The calculations have been done by using microscopic two-body nucleon-nucleon potentials of Argonne type, together with three-body interact...

Correlated basis function theory and Fermi hypernetted chain theory are extended to treat finite Fermi systems . In this first paper, the effects of the scalar nucleon-nucleon correlations are investigated by studying some model N = Z nuclei . Results of calculations performed using central nucleon-nucleon potentials, without tensor components, are presented and are compared with results from o...
متن کاملShell-Model Calculations with Realistic Effective Interactions
In this paper, we present some results of shell-model calculations employing effective interactions derived from the CD-Bonn free nucleon-nucleon potential. These concern 18O, 134Te, and 210Po, and are part of a comprehensive study of nuclei around doubly closed shells. Comparison of the calculated results with experimental data illustrates the degree of accuracy of modern realistic shell-model...

Results of large-basis shell-model calculations for nuclei with A = 7 − 11 are presented. The effective interactions used in the study were derived microscopically from the Reid93 potential and take into account the Coulomb potential as well as the charge dependence of T = 1 partial waves. For A = 7, a 6h̄Ω model space was used, while for the rest of the studied nuclides, the calculations were p...
